# Job Description
Our client, a Bar and Grill in Lusaka is looking to recruit a professional
Barista. The ideal candidates should have at least two years’ similar
experience with coffee and possess top notch customer service skills.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting To: General Manager
Supervision Of: Self
Interacts With: Customers, Staff, Suppliers
JOB DESCRIPTION
Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the menu
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and
preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, caffe latte, and
cappuccino
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee
brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization
standards and sanitation regulations
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 2 years plus
Education Level: Grade 12 Certificate
Qualifications: Grade 12 Certificate
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Coffee machines
Knowledge Of: All forms of coffee and standard beverage recipes e.g Latte art
Skills To: Interact well with customers
Ability To: Work well under pressure with high customer traffic
