# Job Description
Sinohydro Zambia Limited is looking for qualified Electrical Engineers
with at least 10 years of work experience in Design of power systems. Suitable
candidates should be able to understand and design transmission/distribution
systems as well as possess strong understanding of the general technical
requirements of power line projects design in Zambia.
Job Description:
Electrical Engineer – positions 2
Reporting to – The Project Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
–>Must be familiar with the design of transmission and distribution systems of power lines and be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
–>Must be very familiar with the General/Technical Requirements of power line design in Zambia as well as the relevant codes, rules, regulations and standards to observe during design of power lines.
–>Should be able to conduct site inspections and prepare monthly data based on the inspections.
–>Should understand detailed electrical drawings especially about power lines, transformers and other related equipment.
–>Should be able to communicate with the employer as well as other regulatory boards.
–>Must have good communication skills.
Experience and Skills required:
–>Should be a registered member of the Engineering institution of Zambia.
–>Should have a bachelor of science in Electrical engineering or advanced.
–>Should have a minimum of a full Grade 12 school certificate.
–>Ideal candidates must have at least 10 years of work experience in power line design.
–>Should be computer literate and familiar with software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft office and others
–>Should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
